1. Eligibility & Driver Requirements

1.1 All renters must be 25 years of age or older.
1.2 All renters must hold a valid driver’s licence for a minimum of one (1) year.
1.3 International visitors may use a valid foreign driver’s licence but may also be required to obtain a Barbados Visitors Permit in accordance with local laws.
1.4 Proof of identity and verification is mandatory. Customers must present:

A valid driver’s licence
A second form of photo identification
Current proof of address (utility bill, bank statement or employer letter)
1.5 The company reserves the right to decline rentals at its discretion.

2. Booking & Rental Duration

2.1 Minimum rental period is three (3) days.
2.2 Long-term rentals (one month or more) are available upon request.
2.3 A booking is only confirmed after deposit payment or full payment (as stipulated by the company).
2.4 Rates quoted at the time of booking are subject to availability and seasonal adjustments.

3. Payment, Deposits & Security Holds

3.1 A security deposit is required for all rentals.
3.2 The deposit may be made by valid credit card, debit card, or cash, at the company’s discretion.
3.3 The security deposit will be held for the duration of the rental and released after the vehicle is returned in acceptable condition.
3.4 Deductions may be applied for:

Fuel discrepancies
Vehicle damage
Lost keys or accessories
Excessive cleaning fees
3.5 The renter authorizes the company to charge the card on file for any outstanding balances arising from the rental.

4. Vehicle Use & Restrictions

4.1 The vehicle must only be operated by the renter(s) listed on the rental agreement.
4.2 Off-road driving, racing, towing, or transporting hazardous materials is strictly prohibited.
4.3 The vehicle must not be used while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances.
4.4 The renter is responsible for complying with all Barbados road traffic laws.
4.5 Smoking inside the vehicle is prohibited and will result in a cleaning penalty.

5. Insurance & Accident Policy

5.1 All rentals include basic insurance coverage as required by Barbados law.
5.2 An insurance excess applies in the event of damage or accident. This amount is the maximum the renter is required to pay unless negligence is proven.
5.3 The renter agrees to pay the insurance excess unless found not at fault by the insurance company.
5.4 In the event of an accident, the renter must:

Contact the company immediately
Contact the Royal Barbados Police Force
Not move the vehicle unless instructed

Obtain names and contacts of all parties involved

5.5 Failure to report an accident may void insurance coverage and result in full liability.

6. Fuel Policy

6.1 Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.
6.2 If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the difference plus a service fee will be deducted from the deposit.

7. Breakdown Assistance

7.1 In the event of mechanical issues unrelated to misuse, the company will provide roadside assistance or replacement vehicle when available.
7.2 Flat tyres, dead batteries due to lights left on, and lost keys are considered renter-responsible incidents and may incur service charges.

8. Late Return, Extensions & Early Return

8.1 Late returns without prior notice will incur late fees.
8.2 Extensions must be approved and paid before the extension period begins.
8.3 Early returns do not qualify for refunds unless otherwise agreed.

9. Cleaning & Vehicle Condition

9.1 Vehicles must be returned clean, both interior and exterior.
9.2 A cleaning fee will be charged for excessive dirt, sand, spills, or smoking smells.
9.3 Damage to interior components (rips, burns, stains, broken parts) will result in repair charges.

10. Prohibited Activities

The renter agrees NOT to:

Allow unauthorized drivers
Use the vehicle for commercial taxi services
Overload the vehicle past its seating capacity
Transport pets without company approval
Drive through flooded roads or beaches

Violation of these terms may result in termination of the rental and forfeiture of deposit.

11. Cancellation Policy

11.1 Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pick-up may qualify for a refund.
11.2 Cancellations made within 48 hours of pick-up may be subject to a cancellation fee.
11.3 No-shows result in automatic forfeiture of deposit.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Barbados, and any disputes shall be handled under the jurisdiction of Barbadian courts.
